8 Steps on how to delete photos permanently on Mac

Problem

1. You have deleted all of your photos in the iPhoto or Photo application
2. You find out that your storage is not increasing at all.
3. You have emptied the trash

Solution

1. Open Finder
2. Go to Computer (Command + Shift + C or use the Go menu)
3. Sort by List view (Command + 2)
4. Open preferences (Command + J)
5. Check the Calculate all sizes control at the bottom of the preference window and close the pref window
6. Right click on iPhoto library & show package content
7. Go To Master/Preview/Thumbnails folder & delete all subfolder inside each years folder.
8. Done
